Parker is home to three craft breweries and a winery. For the beer lovers out there, stop in at Downhill Brewing, Barnett and Son Brewing Co., or Welcome Home Brewery. Top-notch drafts await you at all of these fine establishments. Downhill Brewing serves fresh-from-the-oven pizzas that will pair well with their brews.
If wine is more your style, look no further than Purgatory Cellars. Don’t let the name frighten you; there is nothing but good things in store for you at this boutique winery. The owner brings 20 years of “Old World” and Mediterranean-style winemaking experience to Colorado from his home country of Croatia.
If you need a bit of culture in your life, two great options are the Parker Symphony Orchestra and the Jay Moore Studio. The Parker Symphony performs in the lovely PACE Center Theatre. Their concerts are sure to inspire and uplift. The Jay Moore Studio is a working studio and showroom. Mr. Moore is a local Colorado landscape artist with a stunning gallery, even to a discerning eye. Make sure you have plenty of time to peruse his works.
For the Nature Lover
Feeling outdoorsy? Bike or walk the Sulphur Gulch Trail. This trail is approximately 4.5 miles long and connects to the Cherry Creek Trail. You can also pick up various community and town trails from it for a nice stroll. If the weather is crummy or there is too much snow on the ground, check out the Parker Fieldhouse with over 100,000 square feet of sports-inspired fun waiting for you.
Batting cages, gymnasiums, an inline rink, climbing wall, and an indoor playground welcomes sports enthusiasts of all ages. The H20’Brien Pool is a great, family friendly destination for summer days. It features two 182′ water slides, a waterworks play structure, a spray garden, a circulation and lap pool, a concession area, and a shade pavilion.
